Most special needs, senior, feral or semi-feral cats will spend months or even years in the care of the Valley Animal Center. Because they require specialized attention, these cats are not easily adopted.
For as little as $10 a month, you can help provide food, shelter and medical care for one of our wonderful long-term residents.
Your monthly donations received through the Sponsor a Cat Program are vital to the Valley Animal Center's efforts, allowing us to do more for the animals in our care. When you make the decision to become a sponsor, you have adopted a loving animal into your family.

A: Sponsorship is a personal commitment to making monthly donations to critical programs offered by the Valley Animal Center. Through the Sponsor a Cat Program, you choose one of our special needs, senior, feral or semi- feral felines and your donation helps defray the cost of food, shelter and medical care.
- Q: Why should I sponsor a special needs, senior, feral or semi-feral animal?

A: Occasionally cats will come to the Valley Animal Center that have conditions and illnesses which will be with them for the rest of their lives. The Valley Animal Center is also home to a large majority of "senior cats," ages 5 and up. While younger animals are usually adopted quickly, older animals may spend many months or years in the shelter, even though they make ideal pets for people who desire a more relaxed animal.
Feral and semi-feral cats are not lap cats. They may not be snuggly or approachable like cats that have been socialized since they were kittens. These cats are less likely to be adopted.
As a no-kill shelter, we make a commitment to all animals and that includes our innocent and deserving special needs, senior, feral and semi-feral pets.

A: Monthly sponsorship has infinite rewards for you and our sponsored pets! With your monthly sponsorship, you will receive a color photo and description of your sponsored pet. You will also receive the Valley Animal Center's quarterly newsletter, the Valley Animal Voice. All monthly donations are tax deductible. Your monthly sponsorship is greatly appreciated and helps us to continue to provide the highest quality of care, love and affection for the animals in our care. You can come and visit your special sponsored pet any time the shelter is open.
